Kouga Regional League Team

As the Kouga Region Hollywood Bets League continues, St. Francis Bay United has been securing some excellent results, keeping us in the tight race for the league title. With four games remaining, it’s crucial we secure victories in these matches to hopefully finish in 1st place.

Kouga Premier League

Our Kouga Premier League team has shown great improvement recently. Currently on a strong winning streak, our goal is to finish in the top 4 of the league. With promising young talent emerging, we hope to promote some of these players to our Regional League team soon.

Sinayo ‘Messi’ Speelman

A big congratulations to one of our standout young players, Sinayo Speelman, who has been with us since the tender age of 12. He recently made his debut for the Regional League team with a controlled and impressive performance. Well done, Sinayo!

Pam Golding U/15 Team

Our U/15 boys have been putting in a lot of hard work and competing well in their league. Although they often face older teams, making it difficult to secure results, this season is more of a learning experience for these young players.

 Village SuperSpar Initiative

Over the past two months, we have organized two successful environmental initiatives in partnership with Spar and Kromme Enviro-Trust:

  1. Sea Vista Sports Field Cleanup (Feb ): We began by cleaning our training field, followed by an environmental talk with the kids.
  2. Two Harbours Walk  (March): Truus from Kromme Enviro led our senior boys on a walk/run and cleanup along the Two Harbours route.

A special thanks to everyone involved, and to Spar for generously donating meals for the kids. This project aims to educate the youth about environmental stewardship, encouraging them to care for their surroundings in the future.

Fundraiser Event

In March, we hosted a successful fundraiser at the Cape St. Francis Tennis Courts. With the help of the ladies team at Nirmatri Events, we created a fun game called P-Tennis, which is a mix of pickleball, padel, and tennis. It was a great day enjoyed by all. A heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and to all the sponsors who donated prizes

Sea Vista Sports Field Maintenance

We’ve been working diligently on improving the Sea Vista Sports Field. Our efforts include watering the field 4-5 times a week and regularly maintaining both the main field and training field. The difference is already visible!

A big thank you to Rotary for purchasing a line marking machine, which allows us to mark the field ourselves.

Current Projects at the Facility:

  • Painting and repairing the spectator stands.
  • Maximizing space usage to allow for more effective training.
  • Installation of floodlights.
  • Construction of soccer training goals.
