Kouga Regional League Team
End of season Function / Prize Giving
Our 1st team celebrated their end of season function at the River Club in St Francis Bay . A great night was had by all players , coaches and management. Awards on the night went to : Gift Majola ( Player of the Season) , Abulele Bhabha ( Players Player of the Seaon ) , Lubabalo Nodaka ( Top Goalscorer) , Vuyolwethu Mandeka ( Most Improved ) and Thabang Monnagaaratwe ( Most Dedicated and committed player ) . Big thanks the River Club for hosting and Pam Golding and Build – it for sponsoring prizes .
Kouga Premier League
Our youngsters or 2nd team as we call it , finished in 8th place in the Premier League . They had a solid season with some great moments but more importantly lots of learning curves. Next season we will look to push and try win this league . We will be hosting a Small End of season function for them at the end of July .
Market Awareness Stall
We had our first market stall at the end of May where we will be creating awareness around the soccer project and looking for people to become monthly members/ supporters @ a standard fee of R100. Thanks to all our sponsors for jumping onboard and helping us acquire our new branded Gazebo. Thanks to Hantie from the Market for giving us a space. Please come swing by and check us out.
U/15 Score Youth Tournament
On the 7th of September we will be hosting a Youth Tournament for our U/15 boys . The tournament will consist of 8 junior teams from the Kouga district and will be sponsored by Score Energy Drinks. They will be launching their new immune booster energy drink which consists of no sugar or caffeine.
Netball Girls
Through the help of Andrew Vena and Rochey from Score Energy, we managed to help provide a netball kit to a young group of girls who have shown determination and commitment and have been training netball every chance they get! Because of this, we have managed to help find them a coach and we’ll be taking them under our Sport For Youth umbrella, which will help develop further kids and grow the project even more!
Sports Facility
I can finally release the long awaited news , we have been approved to start with our Youtj Sport and Skills Development Facility at the Links Golf Estate. The Links have donated us a piece of land where we will work together on this project. We are looking at starting with the sports field in the next 4-6 weeks .
